Taking Education to the next level

Best practice examples examined at the Naace Strategic Conference

Naace, the community of educators, technologists and policy makers who share a vision for the role of technology in advancing education has announced that it will be examining best practice examples of raising achievement through technology at its annual Strategic Conference.

The Naace Strategic Conference, which will be held at the East Midlands Conference Centre from 25– 26 March will pull in examples of best practice from submissions made to the Naace 3rd Millennium Learning Award. The aim of the Naace 3rd Millennium Learning Award is to enable schools to demonstrate how they are providing an education fit for the 21st century. The content of the awards will enable discussion and debate about raising standards in the implementation of computing across the curriculum. Naace has recently worked with a variety of these schools to produce videos and 10 minute educational commentary, to capture the essence of these 3rd Millennium Learning Awards. The videos can be found at http://www.naace.co.uk/thirdmillenniumlearningaward/schoolawardvideos.

Mark Chambers, Naace chief executive says: “The Conference this year, is based on the fact that a minority of schools, in the UK and around the world, have discovered how to take education to the next level. They offer a significantly better education than other schools and their pupils achieve a lot more, by capitalising on the connected-world and computer technology. These schools offer others the ideal opportunity to gather ideas and learn new practices which will, ensure the UK leads the way in this new digital era.

Discussion at the Naace Strategic Conference will be based on encouraging schools to lead the way in connected-world learning to create high levels of challenge, creativity and resilience.

The Naace Strategic Conference returns to the East Midlands Conference Centre on 25 - 26 March 2015.
