YOUR OPPORTUNITY TO HELP SHAPE THE FUTURE CURRICULUM IS HERE (February -April 2013)

At long last, the draft programme of study for our subject has been published by the DfE. In working as part of panel that put this together, we have frequently been encouraged by the amount of common ground held by the different parties involved in the discussions but our initial impression of the new document raises concerns that, whilst a number of suggestions have been followed up, many of the recommendations from this expert panel have not been reflected in this programme of study. The tone of the document has changed significantly from the expert advice submitted to the DfE at the end of November 2012.
