Closing Keynote - Making the Accreditation of IT Achievement Better.  Issues and Approaches

Sharon will review the constraints of formal assessment approaches for accrediting achievement, particularly in those areas which business and individuals view as important, but are commonly neglected by formal assessments.  Using Open Badges, Sharon will describe flexible granular approaches which also shift the ownership of assessing achievement in innovative ways, thus making accreditation more fit for purpose.  Matt will conclude by describing the Naace Open Badge Academy, a new Partnership which is developing accreditation for Computing Teachers, for Network Managers and Technicians, and, going forward, for all those of us who are proud Education Technology Users.
