PDE tutors

are able to deliver Naace PDE. They go through a rigorous accreditation process, with an NMSP providing quality assurance for their facilitation of professional development events.

There are two phases for PDE tutor accreditation (find out more below about accreditation opportunities):

Accreditation must be renewed every 3 years and tutors commit to participation in a regular quality assurance programme. A code of practice is followed by PDE tutors.

Phases of accreditation

Phase 1 PDE tutor accreditation days provide an opportunity to explore the PDE programme in more detail, to participate in practical facilitation sessions, and to be observed leading the delivery of a session.  Participants who satisfy the criteria for tutors will be awarded a Phase 1 PDE Tutor Certificate and are then able to lead a Naace PDE if they are an NMSP, or if they come under the umbrella coverage of an NMSP.

Phase 2 PDE tutor accreditation is a quality assurance visit undertaken by a Naace appointed representative, to observe delivery of a PDE event.  On satisfactory completion of this, PDE tutors will be able to continue delivering PDEs.  Provided a PDE tutor has delivered at least one PDE each year, PDE feedback has been positive and quality assurance visits have been satisfactory, PDE tutors will be able to renew their accreditation at the end of three years.  ALL Naace accredited PDE tutors must go through the Phase 2 quality assurance process and phase 2 PDE tutor accreditation will not be awarded as a result of prior learning or experience - it is essential that evidence of best practice is up to date.

PDE Tutors
PDE tutors (see below for a current list) have been through a rigorous accreditation process, with an NMSP providing quality assurance for their facilitation of professional development events.

There are two phases for PDE tutor accreditation (find out more below about accreditation opportunities):

Phase 1 PDE Tutor Accreditation: Tutors have attended an accreditation day.

Phase 2 PDE Tutor Accreditation: Tutors have participated in a quality assurance process during delivery of a PDE.

Tutors aspire to the highest possible professional standards in their facilitation of events, providing high quality personalised and supportive learning experiences for their delegates. Accreditation must be renewed every 3 years and tutors commit to participation in a regular quality assurance programme. A code of practice is shared by those who are PDE tutors.

We look for motivational PDE tutors, who are full of energy, enthusiasm and practical help. Our two stage accreditation process looks for those who have appropriate subject knowledge and facilitation skills. They will either be NMSP's or working under the umbrella of an NMSP.
