Launch of Naace ICT CPD Award - Join us on the Naace Stand, J42, on Friday 14 January 2011 at 3pm  -

Naace is delighted to announce the launch of The Naace ICT CPD Award Scheme.

This scheme is intended for educators interested in developing their knowledge and practice regarding ICT. Its four certificates enable candidates to select a point of entry according to their personal or professional needs. It also provides a route through to Certified Naace Professional (CNP) status enabling candidates to gather evidence for this accreditation.

Building on the success of Naace’s ‘freemium’ service,, sponsored by the TDA ( and Vital (, Naace will today launch a new scheme for educators who want to gain recognition for reflecting on courses they have undertaken, whilst advancing their skills and enhancing their pedagogy.

Last year at BETT2010, Naace launched ictcpd4free with a promise to look at ways of introducing a more advanced award scheme for participants that engage with the ictcpd4free courses. In the spirit of openness Naace is inviting people who have undertaken other courses, in related areas, to reflect on these courses as an alternative route to achieving accreditation.

Each participant in a Naace ictcpd4free course gains a Participatory Certificate. In addition to this they will be able to undertake an Extended, an Enhanced or an Advanced Certificate by enrolling on a further course.

Periods of study and prices vary and are heavily discounted for Naace Members, Naace Schools and Naace Partners. Each candidate will be allocated a Mentor to assist with their proposal and submission and the Naace Quality Board will verify all awards.

Naace Junior Vice Chair, Miles Berry, comments ‘We are delighted with the development of the Naace ICT CPD Award Scheme. This formative scheme offers a real alternative for educators to continue their lifelong learning, empowering individuals to gain recognition for their work in and between schools. We are confident that this scheme will present excellent value CPD for all and will assist in advancing education for our learners which is so close to our hearts.’
