Press Release - Shortlist for Naace ICT Impact Awards

Announcement of Shortlisted Candidates for Naace ICT Impact Awards – Naace Stand J42 – Thursday 12 January 3 pm

Naace, the ICT Association, is delighted to advise that the shortlisted candidates for the Naace ICT Impact Awards will be announced at the Naace Stand, J42, at BETT 2012 on Thursday 12 January at 3pm.

Naace has a long standing history of supporting those working in education to use ICT to achieve the greatest possible impact, and now seeks to continue to provide formal recognition of outstanding work in this area.

Naace is eager that ‘learner outcomes’ be interpreted broadly and in seeking entries stressed that this might include attainment, achievement, motivation, behaviour, attitudes and creativity, but should not be seen as restricted to these categories.

The judges, from the Naace Board of Management, have reviewed all nominations and have been staggered by the high quality and the very many illustrations of where impact is evidenced. As a response to this it has been decided to recognise all nominees by providing Naace ICT Impact Nomination certificates for all during the course of the next week.

The categories for this year are:

  • Award for EYFS
  • Award for Primary sponsored by Kudlian Software
  • Award for Secondary sponsored by Phoenix Software
  • Award for Supporting Inclusion in any phase sponsored by Crick Software
  • Award for Collaborative group project
  • Award for ICT Technician of the Year
  • Award for Adviser or Consultant or Support Service sponsored by Fantastict.
  • Award for life long achievement sponsored by Meru Networks

Shortlisted candidates will be announced on Thursday 12 January (further press release to follow with shortlist candidates)and the ultimate winners will be presented this prestigious national award presented by Charles Clarke at the Gala Dinner at the Naace Strategic Conference at The Marriott Hotel in Leicester on Friday 9 March 2012. Naace is delighted that Charles Clarke has accepted our invitation to this year’s award ceremony.

A further press announcement will be made on Thursday 12 January with details of shortlisted candidates.

Paul Heinrich, Past Chair of the Naace Board of Management commented that ‘Naace is delighted to recognise talent amongst its members and the wider ICT Community in this second year of our Awards. We wish all the shortlisted candidates every success in the next stage of the process and look forward to the ultimate award ceremony at the Naace Strategic Conference which I have to say is shaping up to be another phenomenal event.’
