New Course for Primary ICT Leaders - Join us on the Naace Stand, J42, for a presentation on Friday 13 January 2012 at 4pm


Naace is delighted to share details of a new Naace Enhanced Award course for Primary ICT Leaders.

This new course provides high quality training and support for current and aspiring ICT leaders in Primary schools and existing leaders who wish to have a recognised qualification. It has been carefully designed to raise standards of pupils’ attainment in and through ICT by improving the standards of ICT leadership in schools. Based around the ICT self review framework it:
•    Is geared to enabling whole school improvement through ICT
•    Offers a flexible, blended learning approach
•    Can be completed over 6 months.

The course uses blended learning approach, involving both tutor input and student involvement both face to face and online and includes:
•    Online meetings
•    Moderated online discussions
•    Email contact with the course tutor
•    Online self-study
•    Reading
•    Directed tasks

On completion of the course delegates will be able to
•    Review ICT provision and use throughout the school
•    Create an ICT development plan
•    Understand  assessment, data analysis and parental engagement;
•    Plan and implement learning and teaching of and with ICT across the school, including online learning
•    Develop and implement a assessment procedures for ICT
•    Audit the ICT CPD needs of all staff and plan an appropriate CPD strategy
•    Review infrastructure and digital resources and make recommendations for future development.
